Electric Fence Options? Try Electric Netting

Electric netting serves as a practical fencing solution with its straightforward design and minimal need for managing separate components. This type of fence features a grid pattern typically made from polywire, with the fence posts integrated into the roll of netting. The posts often come with either a single or double spike at the base for securing them into the ground. Many users find the double spike advantageous, particularly in rocky soil, as it allows the post to be easily inserted by stepping on the flat part of the spike. However, some prefer the single spike for its ease of rolling up the fence without getting entangled.
While electric netting can be a suitable choice for small-scale operations, it comes with certain drawbacks. Its lifespan can be limited, and it may become cumbersome to handle, especially when it comes to maintaining conductivity and dealing with the higher costs compared to other fencing options.
Advantages include its simplicity, the convenience of integrated posts, and the enhanced security against predators due to the woven pattern. On the downside, it is the priciest option per foot, challenging to move and manage due to the potential for tangling, and it lacks durability as the polywire and twine can tear easily. Furthermore, it offers low conductivity, necessitating a powerful energizer for effective operation over longer distances.
